Telling It Our Way hosts stories written and performed by people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, tackling topics that range from romantic relationships to work life, childhood to grief. These are real stories from the complex, rich lives of real people.
Hosted by disability studies scholars Dr. Becca Monteleone and Dr. Ally Day and part of the Voices Around Us initiative from WGTE public media, Telling It Our Way is the 2025 Media Award Winner from the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD) and the 2024 Touchstone Award Winner from the Toledo Press Club.
